Shawnton De Four
-
Dear Morpeth RFC,
I am writing to all clubs within the RFU (addresses kindly supplied by RFU) with regards to the sad loss of our player Shawnton, who died whilst playing for our 2nd XV on the 5th March this year.  The cause of his death is unknown; he just collapsed on the pitch.
A great family man as well as a true rugby man, he leaves behind a widow and 14 month old twins.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support the local Rugby clubs, international rugby players and the general public. If you and your club have already donated then thank you very much, we are all grateful.

Susie, his wife, works part-time for the NHS and will need help looking after the twins. We will always remember Shawnton. He will hold a place in all our hearts, but we also need to look to the family’s future.

As well as the JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Shawnton ,we will, as a Club, continue to raise funds for the family. We have already organised a sponsored 24 hour row and a sponsored 24 hour touch game.

All donations, whatever the size, will be gratefully received and faithfully applied. To this end I have detailed below the person and/or bank account to which any donations should be sent.

In anticipation I will thank you for your support in whatever form it comes.

Yours in Rugby,
