A great day was had by all at the inaugural Morpeth Longhirst Hall 7s. Ten teams competed in 2 pools of 5 with all teams enjoying a minimum of 4 games.

Local teams supported the competition with Jed Forest also entering a side. Tynedale ran out worthy winners against The Mighty Peth in the Final.

Congratulations to Tom Willkinson and Paul Jackson on organising the event and to all the Sponsors who generously donated.

Tom and Paul are hoping to make it an annual event and hope to build on it each year and next year's tournament will be Sunday May 1st 2011 ,which would then fall into the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.
